Bandarban is a bengali name of district in South-Eastern Bangladesh and a part of the Chittagong Division.  

Brief History : In the period of time of fifteenth century, the Arakanese kingdom, wherever Mrauk U was the capital, spent its territories to the city space of geographical region. when the success of Arakan on Burma's Pegu kingdom in 1599 AD, the Arakanese king Mong Raja Gree appointed a aristocrat of Pegu because the governor of new established Bohmong Htaung (Circle) by giving the title of "Bohmong" Raja. That space was largely inhabited by the Arakanese descendants and dominated by the Burmese (Myanmar) noble descendants World Health Organization began to decision themselves in Arakanese language as Marma. Marma is Associate in Nursing archaic Arakanese pronunciation for Burma. because the population of the Bohmong Htaung were of Arakanese descandants, these Myanmar-descendants Bohmong chiefs (Rajas) of the upper class took the titles in Arakanese and speak a non-standard speech of the Arakanese language.
